Capgras' syndrome
= illusion of doubles
the delusion that a person closely involved with the patient has been replaced by an identical-looking impostor. It is often, but not necessarily, a symptom of paranoid schizophrenia. [M. J. Capgras (1873–1950), French psychiatrist]
